Locomotive Facilities
The Diesel Facility & Steam Facility
This is the east face
of the diesel shop, handbuilt by one of our members from
scratch. One can see one of the large Diesel Oil storage tanks
in the background to the left.
The west face shows a lot more of the scratchbuilt detail, as well as some engines being serviced.
This is a view of the steam facility from the operator's
pit. The turntable is large enough for almost anything -
including a pair of E8's! This day though, only steam is
present here. The tracks leading off to the left are the
Albatross switching leads. The tracks in the far left are
part of the CNJ Passenger Station. This picture was taken
in the Spring of 1999 - this scene looks very
different today, especially at the Passenger Terminal.
Our coaling tower is finally under way in early 2002! Many details will be added soon, but this is the basic structure.
