The River Scene and WJ Tower
A westbound Lehigh & New England Coal Drag rounds the bend into the River Scene and blows past WJ Tower.

West of BOB Tower and the town of Otter Creek, the three tracks of the Garden
State Northern to the east merge to form two at WJ Tower. The GSN then parallels
a beautiful river for about half a mile, before dissappearing into a tunnel.
The River Scene is located at the back of our layout. It was the first scene
on the Garden State Northern to be completely sceniked, however, like the
rest of the layout, it is always changing. The set of crossovers and switches
for track 3 and the Otter Creek Reverse Loop were recently added, and WJ
Tower was built to control them. Another set of crossovers will be installed
on the other side of the tunnel (below) immediately before the hidden yard,
about 1/2 mile away.
Pennsylvania K-4 Class Pacific pulls an express reefer train westbound on the Garden State Northern mainline.
